In the past, I had numerous people approach with the intentions of getting legal advice during their notarizations. I would like my clients to know that In the scope of notarization and document assistance, I cannot give legal advice. It is very important that notary clients know this for the sake respecting my boundaries as a notary public and for the sake of the notarization being performed. Just to exemplify a couple of scenarios. I've heard a comments like:
Well...for the most part, my answer to the question was NO, of course! Those question during or prior to a notarization raises red-flags for me. However, as a notary public, my job is to help deter fraud not aid in the commission.
On the other hand, if you need a notarization, and you're unsure of what you may need, please check FAQ's page for more assistance or by calling me, Ms. Miller, directly at 559-805-0883.
